Erin M. Diaz

Erin Diaz is a partner in the firm’s Tampa office. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from West Virginia University graduating summa cum laude in 1994. She was then commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force after successfully completing the Air Force ROTC program and served four years on active duty as an Officer and Registered Nurse. In 2001, Ms. Diaz thereafter earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of North Dakota. She practiced in North Dakota and Minnesota representing plaintiffs and defendants in civil and criminal matters before relocating to Florida.

Ms. Diaz’s extensive nursing background has proven to be a valuable asset in her law practice. She has litigated a wide variety of general civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts. She represents clients in the defense of professional malpractice, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, automobile/trucking negligence, and long-term care claims.

Ms. Diaz has earned an AV Preeminent rating from her peers, the highest level rating awarded to lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In 2022, Ms. Diaz earned the distinction of being elected into membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national association of experienced trial lawyers dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Ms. Diaz is licensed in Florida state and federal court.
