Weedon Island Preserve – “A Place to Remember“
Weedon Island Preserve is an expansive 3,190-acre natural area located on Tampa Bay. This coastal system, comprised of aquatic and upland ecosystems, is home to numerous species of native plants and animals, an educational facility and a rich cultural history. Indigenous peoples occupied this site for thousands of years. Today, the preserve protects this wide diversity of natural and cultural resources for current and future generations. Weedon Island Preserve is also a well-known birding and fishing site.

/in Community ServiceLa Cava and Jacobson, P.A. was the photo sponsor for the2017 Moffitt Cancer Center Magnolia Ball. Lou and April attended the Ball and made additional donations to support Moffitt’s efforts to fight cancer.
Nearly 750 guests attended Moffitt’s 24th annual Magnolia Ball on May 20, at the Marriott Waterside in Downtown Tampa. Chaired by Moffitt supporters, Frank and Christina Capitano, the ball raised $4 million for patient care, research and education at the cancer center. This record-setting amount is the most ever raised in a single year.
