Lou La Cava Wins Florida Trial Lawyer of the Year Award From The Florida Board of Trial Advocates
Louis La Cava’s wins prestigious Florida Trial Lawyer of the Year award. Lou La Cava was nominated by the Tampa Chapter of the Florida Board of Trial Advocates for the FLABOTA Trial Lawyer of the year award. Each of the 11 local chapters in Florida presented a nominee for the award. The award was to be presented at the FLABOTA annual meeting in Orlando in July but unfortunately that meeting was cancelled as a result of COVID 19. The award will now be presented during the FLABOTA meeting on October 23rd and 24th in St. Augustine, Florida. Each FLABOTA member is also a member of ABOTA the national organization as well as their local chapter.
FLABOTA is unique in that its membership is divided evenly between plaintiff and defense civil trial lawyers. Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only and includes many of the finest civil trial lawyers in the United States. Members are selected by their peers and exemplify the highest professional and ethical conduct. Lou La Cava has the ranking of Diplomate with ABOTA which is the highest ranking that can be achieved. A Diplomate shall have at least twelve (12) years of active experience as a trial lawyer and as a member of the Bar of the state, province, district or territory in which he or she practices, shall have held the rank of Advocate for a minimum of three (3) years and shall have tried a minimum of one hundred (100) civil jury trials to a jury verdict or hung jury as lead counsel.
