Maiara De Souza

Maiara De Souza is a Litigation Paralegal with the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale Office. Maiara received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management from Broward College. She also holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Florida Atlantic University. Maiara’s prior work experience includes handling medical malpractice defense claims, Condominium and Homeowners Association Law, Foreclosure, and Immigration Law.
At La Cava Jacobson & Goodis, Maiara handles both medical malpractice and general liability cases. She is responsible for case management and all aspects of litigation from pre-suit through trial preparation including, but not limited to, communication with clients, expert witnesses, responding to discovery, background research, review of records, creation of summaries and medical chronologies.
A native of Brazil, Maiara is a US Citizen and fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and conversational in Italian.
Maiara is a Notary Public and a member of the South Florida Paralegal Association and the NFPA. She has been a volunteer Society of St. Vincent de Paul since 2019.
